Opening Day-Joseph Carpenter Silversmith Shop & Living History on the Green

Hear ye, Hear ye.... Come to the Opening Day of the Joseph Carpenter Silversmith Shop and Living History Day on the Norwichtown Green, Saturday, May 3, 11am-3pm. In the Silversmith Shop speak with Joseph Carpenter-silversmith and clockmaker to discover more about the houses and life on the Green, appreciate the original forge he used and the clock he made.  Enjoy strolling on the Green where you will experience life when the Green was the social and commercial center of Norwich with crafts, militia drilling and traveling merchants.  Have a cup of Pewter Pot Fine Chocolate, watch as Scott the Blacksmith/bladesmith shows off his skills. See the fine crafts in the Lebanon Militia. Learn about a soldiers life with the 6th CT Regiment, Browns Company of Artillery and the Lebanon Towne Militia. Appreciate a display of Naval artifacts. Discover Norwich History on the Green!  Admission $5
