Open Mic at The Packing House (January)
Open Mic at The Packing House! Unlike a typical open-mic, musicians are scheduled ahead of time. Experienced musicians are allotted extended time while new or inexperienced performers will have the opportunity to get on stage and receive guidance on performing. The venue's audience is quiet, respectful, and focused on the artist.

EC-CHAP's Talent Showcase model is being retired this season and replaced with our new "Open Mic at The Packing House". EC-CHAP Board Member and musician Dean Bolt will be facilitating these events! PLEASE CALL (860-922-1214) TO BE PLACED ON THE SCHEDULE. Open Mic at The Packing House represents a supportive platform for community members of all ages to share their musical talents. In a change from the past Talent Showcase model, this event will be focused on musical performance.
Unlike a traditional "Open Mic", EC-CHAP's “Open Mic at The Packing House”:
1) Will schedule musicians ahead of time; call 860-922-1214 to be included; 2) Offers extended time to musicians with experience; 3) Provides an opportunity for first time performers or inexperienced performers to get on stage and get guidance on performing 4) Provides a quiet, attentive and respectful environment focused on the artists.
Musicians are invited to share your original or cover music at The Packing House. Join us for an opportunity to showcase your talent in an intimate historic setting before a live audience. Test ideas and concepts and solicit feedback. PA / sound reinforcement, and up to 3 microphones provided (Please - No full drum kits or amps unless prior arrangements have been made).
Not performing? No problem! Come join us for an evening of great music. Invite those you know! Free admission for all guests and you are welcome to bring your own food and drink to the venue. Unless otherwise noted, Open Mics at The Packing House are offered on the 2nd Wednesday of the month from 7pm-10pm. This program is hosted by the Eastern Connecticut Center for History, Art, and Performance (EC-CHAP).
The Packing House is located at The Mill Works, 156 River Road, Willington, CT.
