Milford Regional Lobster Roll Festival

The Milford Regional Chamber of Commerce, with the generous support of Xfinity as the presenting sponsor, is thrilled to announce the first-ever Lobster Roll Festival, coming to Walnut Beach on September 20th, 2025. This exciting new event will celebrate Milford’s proud history as the birthplace of the warm buttered lobster roll and bring together food lovers from across the region for a one-of-a-kind culinary and cultural experience.

Milford holds a unique place in New England’s seafood history. In 1929, Perry’s Restaurant, a small eatery in Milford, CT, first introduced the now-iconic warm buttered lobster roll, a simple yet indulgent dish that has become a Connecticut staple and a favorite across the country. While Maine may claim the cold, mayonnaise-based lobster roll, Milford is where the warm buttered lobster roll was born, and this festival will pay homage to that legacy.

The festival will feature:
