The City of New London is proud to announce the commencement of its holiday season with a calendar of events celebrating the diverse array of faiths and culture in New London.
November 29th Christmas Tree Lighting-Join us at Parade Plaza between 5:30 pm and 6:30 pm for the Christmas Tree Lighting event. Experience the enchantment of Christmas carols, and the Shoreline Ringers Bell Choir. Witness the grand entrance of Santa, as he parades down Banks Street in a brilliantly illuminated Jeep. And don’t forget to capture the special moment with Santa pictures after the tree lighting at The Golden Owl!
This year’s Christmas tree is adorned with a special addition: we’ve collaborated with a local artist to craft unique ornaments. Join us for the Christmas tree lighting event when these exquisite ornaments will be revealed.

Santa Shopping Stroll Dec 14th – Grab a map and a festive New London Santa hat at any of our participating locations. Explore the charming streets of downtown New London as you shop for holiday gifts. Check out the list of special offers from the businesses participating on that day. Make sure to visit all the locations to collect Christmas stamps on your map. Turn in your completed map at Flavour of Life for a chance to win a fabulous DNLA merchant gift basket.
