Mega Metacomet Halloween Thriller
Seven themed homes. Live Thriller dancers. One unforgettable Halloween night!
Experience the 12th annual MEGA METACOMET HALLOWEEN THRILLER on Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. at 62–82 Metacomet Road in Plainville.
Connecticut’s largest decorated Halloween neighborhood features towering figures, thousands of colored lights, lasers, swirling fog, music, and 2,000 feet of illuminated sidewalk arches, made possible through donations from Eversource and F.W. Webb.
Explore seven themed homes, including the new Spirito Hallow Cemetery. See the S.S. Metacomet, a full-size, 21-foot boat transformed into a pirate ship, and Plainville Town Manager Michael Paulhus as WWE’s The Undertaker in a casket filled with smoke and laser effects.
The YWCA New Britain School of Dance performs Michael Jackson’s Thriller repeatedly from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. outside 62 Metacomet Road. Enjoy food vendors and trick-or-treating in the surrounding neighborhood.
This free community tradition benefits the Plainville Community Food Pantry and has collected more than 8,000 pounds of food over its first 11 years. Bring canned goods or other nonperishable food items. Donations are accepted throughout October and on Halloween night.
The event has received official recognition from Connecticut’s governor, a Connecticut General Assembly citation recognizing it as “the top Halloween attraction in Connecticut,” and Plainville’s ceremonial Skeleton Key to the City.
Visitor parking is available at Crew Volkswagen, 245 New Britain Avenue, Plainville, with a Halloween-decorated Volkswagen electric van providing shuttle service to the event... or park on surrounding streets.
