Light Up Monroe

The Monroe CT 250 Committee and the Monroe Women’s Club invite residents to purchase luminaries to light up their neighborhood or business to commemorate America’s 250th birthday. 

Luminaries are sold for $5.00 per dozen (bags and candles included). Please order your luminaries at the Women’s Club’s website by June 19 so deliveries can be made the weekend of June 20. Purchasing questions to [email protected]. 

The event is part of Monroe’s ongoing recognition of the upcoming 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence and ties into “Light to Unite”, the National Flag Foundation’s (NFF) national movement asking all American cities, to the extent possible, to light up buildings and landmarks in either red, white, or blue a national evening of unity to celebrate our nation’s 250th Birthday.
