Jumpstart your festival with an experience that pays homage to the Juneteenth holiday and celebrates our collective dedication to uplifting Voices of Belonging!
Join us Friday, June 19th—Juneteenth Day—for a powerfully joyful gathering as part of our 13th Annual citywide Juneteenth Celebration, featuring a commemorative walk honoring Lucy and Lois Tritton, the last two enslaved persons sold on the New Haven Green, along with libation and our esteemed Elder Honoring Ceremony featuring the Keepers of the Culture Performing Arts Company—followed by live music performances and a liberating outdoor dance party on the Green with Rahsaan Langley and the TRLP. Wear red for Juneteenth and Sickle Cell Awareness, and come ready to celebrate, connect, and move together in our collective spirit of legacy, strength, and joy.
