book tickets now learn more

Please join us for a public conversation with Dr. Allison Deutsch about Impressionism and the culture of food.  Deutsch currently teaches at both Oxford University and Birkbeck, University of London and she is a graduate of Miss Porter’s School. The event will begin with a short presentation by the author about her book, Consuming Painting: Food and the Feminine in Impressionist Paris, followed by a public conversation. Questions from the audience will be welcomed at the end and the evening will conclude with hors d’oeuvres paired to match the impressionist paintings discussed in the conversation.
