History Hike

See the namesake falls at Southford Falls State Park as we hike the Southford Falls Red Trail (1.5 miles). The falls are at the beginning of the trail, but this loop follows the water uphill to provide numerous views of other waterfalls. The red trail then loops around for a gradual descent back to the main falls and Papermill Pond. Some sections of the trail are rocky, so good shoes and trekking poles are nice to bring along.
