Hartford Black Pride (HBP) is a community-centered cultural initiative dedicated to celebrating, uplifting, and empowering Black queer people through arts, culture, wellness, faith engagement, education, advocacy, and community building.

Founded and produced by NxtThrsdy, HBP creates intentional spaces where Black queer communities are centered, affirmed, and celebrated across Greater Hartford and beyond.

Hartford Black Pride is not only an event, it’s the beginning of a cultural legacy rooted in visibility, joy, healing, and collective care.

The event kicks off on Friday, July 24th with the HBP Honors and Kickoff event at 1 p.m. at the Downtown Hartford Public Library.
