Film Synopsis: From her escape from slavery through the dangerous missions she led to liberate hundreds of slaves through the Underground Railroad, the story of heroic abolitionist Harriet Tubman is told.

This event is in celebration of America's 250th anniversary. The Avon Theatre is an affiliate of the America 250 | Connecticut Commission.

This screening will be held at Ferguson Library (1 Public Library Plaza, Stamford, CT).

 

Avon on Tour is presented by The First Bank of Greenwich and sponsored by the Connecticut Office of the Arts, The John C. Griswold Family Foundation, Stamford Arts & Culture Commission, and Wireless Zone Gives.
