Guided Kayaking Sunset Ecotour - Freshwater Tidal Wetland - Beginner Friendly - All Equipment Included
Come on a naturalist led guided kayaking tour of a rare ecosystem in Connecticut - a freshwater tidal wetland. All equipment (kayaks, paddles, life jackets, dry bag, cell phone case, field guides, and lights) are included. Learn about this unique ecosystem and watch the sunset.
This is a good place and time for wildlife watching, as the wild rice is beginning to seed and a new beaver dam and pond were built this spring. Expect to see herons, egrets, swallows, muskrats, turtles, and beaver.
5% of the proceeds from this trip will be donated to the Jonas Center for Earth and Art for their role in protecting the Coginchaug River and Floating Meadows.
