Greater Waterbury Children's Theatre Presents: The Wizard of Oz

Follow the Yellow Brick Road this June as Greater Waterbury Children’s Theatre (GWCT) proudly presents The Wizard of Oz. A magical family musical adventure featuring beloved characters, dazzling music, and an incredible cast of local young performers Grades pre-k – 8th. 

Performances will take place in the air-conditioned auditorium at Rotella Magnet School, 380 Pierpont Road, Waterbury, CT for a total of 6 performances across two weekends:

Fridays & Saturdays at 7:00 PM

Sundays at 2:00 PM

June 19–28, 2026

This special production is uniquely double cast with both Red Cast and Blue Cast, allowing even more performance and educational opportunities for children throughout the Greater Waterbury community. The double-cast model gives additional young performers the chance to develop confidence, teamwork, stage experience, and creativity through live theatre.

Audiences can expect colorful costumes, iconic songs, memorable characters, and all the magic of Oz brought to life by talented local youth performers.
