Film Screening - 'The Six Triple Eight'

Join the AfAm House for two screenings of the Netflix original film The Six Triple Eight! This historical drama tells the powerful history behind The Six Triple Eight (6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion) — the first all-Black, all-woman battalion deployed overseas during World War II.

These screenings occur ahead of the 2026 MLK Commemoration keynote given by Col. (Ret.) Edna W. Cummings on January 29, 2026. Col. Cummings was instrumental in securing recognition for the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion including work on the documentary film The Six Triple Eight. In 2022 the battalion received a Congressional Gold Medal.
