Creamos Nuestro Espacio | We Create Our Space, Esta Isla follows young lovers Bebo and Lola after a murder upends their lives, forcing them to flee into Puerto Rico’s rugged interior. Their journey carries them far beyond the beaches and cities familiar to tourists, into fishing towns, mist-covered mountains, and communities shaped by generations of labor, migration, and resilience. As they seek refuge from the forces pursuing them, they discover an island of striking beauty and deep contradictions, as complex as their own uncertain future.
