Family Program: Sketching Your Story

learn more

Have you always lived in Connecticut? What does this state mean to you? Explore some of Hartford’s immigration stories, told in the form of graphic novels, in the exhibition "Drawn Here: Stories from Hartford’s North End."

Using inspiration from the exhibition and graphic novels in the Museum’s collection, create your own comic that tells the story of your family’s experience in Connecticut. Then, learn more about the experiences of historic immigrants by exploring suitcases full of reproduction objects and pictures.

This program is FREE and great for children of all ages, no pre-registration required.
This program also falls on Free First Weekend, which includes free admission for all ages on Saturday, April 4. Please note that the Museum will be closed on Sunday, April 5 due to the Easter holiday! Thank you to Beacon Bank for their support of Free First Weekend.
