This summer, KidsPlay invites families to Imagine More, Create More, and Innovate More with weekly exhibit themes, hands-on activities, and familiar favorites throughout the museum. Each week highlights a different exhibit area and gives families new ways to enjoy indoor summer play.

During Physical Phenomena Week, children become young scientists as they explore how the world works through hands-on experiments with air, light, magnets, and movement. Families can discover the Light Lab, experiment with Wind Power, and engage with dynamic air exhibits that reveal the invisible forces shaping everyday life.

Children can also take on active challenges in the Traverse Climbing Wall, where movement and coordination come together in a playful, physical experience. Throughout the week, exhibits invite curiosity, testing, and experimentation as children observe, predict, and explore cause and effect in real time.

Physical Phenomena Week encourages open-ended discovery and scientific thinking through active play, helping children connect big ideas in physics to hands-on exploration.

Activities are included with museum admission unless otherwise noted.
