‘Ducks in Love’ Weekend – A Unique Valentine’s Experience for Nature Lover
Ripley Waterfowl Conservancy invites bird enthusiasts, nature lovers, and Valentine’s Day adventurers to experience the beauty of waterfowl courtship during its Ducks in Love weekend. This special event, held February 14–16, 2025, offers guests the opportunity to tour the Conservancy’s world-class aviaries, observe stunning birds in their brilliant breeding plumage, and witness unique courtship behaviors up close.
Visitors can choose between an intimate Private Guided Tour or a lively Group Guided Tour, both led by expert aviculturists who will share insights into the fascinating world of waterfowl.
- Private Guided Tours (Feb. 14 & 15): 45-minute private tours available on the hour, starting at 10:00 AM. Guests will enjoy an exclusive guided experience, followed by a cozy fireside gathering with handcrafted Thorncrest Chocolates, warm spiced cider, and refreshments. Pricing: $50 flat fee + $20 per additional person (up to 10 people).
- Group Guided Tours (Feb. 16): Offered at 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM, these engaging tours (limited to 30 participants per session) provide an opportunity to learn about waterfowl courtship while interacting with Avian Ambassadors. Guests can enjoy a fireside Q&A session with warm spiced cider and refreshments. Pricing: $25 per person for non-members; Members receive 10% off.
