CT Humane Society & Superior Energy to Host the 2026 Annual Pet Adoption Event

Since launching the annual event in 2014, Superior Energy and the Connecticut Humane Society have helped more than 100 pets find forever homes while raising thousands of dollars for animals in need.

The longtime community partners are teaming up again for Superior Energy’s 2026 Annual Pet Adoption Event on Saturday, Oct. 17 at Ellington Agway.

The free, rain-or-shine community event brings together local businesses, volunteers, families, and animal lovers with one goal: helping pets find loving homes.

• Meet Adoptable Pets: Meet cats, dogs and other animals from the Connecticut Humane Society looking for loving forever homes. 
• Adoption Support: Superior Energy will help support adoption costs for pets adopted during the event. 
• Pet Supply Savings: Ellington Agway will offer special discounts on pet supplies during the event. 
• Veterinary Care Savings: Somers Veterinary Hospital will offer special veterinary care discounts. 
• Food & Refreshments: Food and refreshments will be available from DiFiore Ravioli Shop. 

Last year’s event helped 31 pets find forever homes and raised more than $10,000 to support Connecticut Humane Society animals in need.

Not ready to adopt? There are still plenty of ways to help. Community members are encouraged to attend, spread the word and support the Connecticut Humane Society and the local organizations helping make the event possible. Donations for pets in need are also greatly appreciated.
