Christmas in July Light Walk

For TWO nights ONLY, embark on a summer Twinkling Trail Adventure! 

Stroll along Hay Burr Inn's Equine Rescue & Sanctuary scenic half-mile woodland trail, beautifully lit with the warm and inviting glow of Christmas lights. 

Keep your eyes open for charming Christmas-themed decorations that will add a touch of winter wonder to the summer night. It's a peaceful and enchanting walk for the whole family to enjoy!

Dates: Saturday, July 18 & Saturday, July 25
Time: 7:30 PM – 9:30 PM (arrive anytime during event hours)
Location: Hay Burr Inn Equine Rescue & Sanctuary, 169 Black Hill Rd. Plainfield, CT
No tickets required — donation entry only (Cash / Card / Venmo)

Your DONATIONS are greatly appreciated for us to continue to rescue equines and give them a second chance to enjoy life and just be a horse.

Hay Burr Inn Equine Rescue & Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. This is a donation-based fundraiser to help with the care and upkeep of the horses and donkeys.

Our equines are older, injured, or retired horses that were either owner surrenders or rescued from the kill pen; these are not riding horses. They are so wonderful and love attention. You can read about our rescues here on the sanctuary: Meet the Horses, Donkeys, and Mule.

If you are interested in helping with decorating the trail, or helping out at the event, learn about our volunteer opportunities.

When visiting the sanctuary:

• Wear shoes or boots. NO sandals, flip flops, or heels. That includes children.

• No smoking, vaping or alcohol on the property.

• We respectfully request for you to leave your animals at home for cross-contamination concerns.

• Please patiently wait for the red gate to open for entrance to the event. The gate is to keep the horses safe on the property.
