Center Memorial Park and its Monuments

Visit the monuments memorializing veterans of the Civil War, Spanish American War, and Revolutionary War, along with a 1909 memorial fountain with a statue of dancing bears. The Civil War statue was unveiled on September 17, 1877, the 15th anniversary of the battle of Antietem in Sharpsburg, Maryland. We'll re-enact the speeches of General Hawley and Governor Hubbard.
