Books & Blooms 2026
Spring means Books & Blooms, a two-day garden-related event and a benefit for the Cornwall Library. In its 11th year, it's one of the most popular and enjoyable highlights of the Cornwall calendar.
On Friday, June 19 at 5pm, renowned poet Jonathan Galassi will speak on the subject "Writing about Place and Living with a Garden." Galassi, who is also chairman of book publisher Farrar, Straus and Giroux, has written four books of poetry, including his latest, The Vineyard, and has published translations of the Italian poets Giacomo Leopardi, Primo Levi, and Eugenio Montale.
Following the talk will be a cocktail reception at the adjacent Cornwall Library, featuring live music by the Crownback Funk Trio. This group blends funk, blues, and jazz to create spontaneous, dynamic soundscapes with every performance.
On Saturday, June 20 from 10am to 4pm, you can take self-guided tours of four stellar Cornwall gardens, both traditional and contemporary, three of them new to the tour.
Admission
$70 for both days
