BLACK HISTORY MONTH - "Forgotten Hero: Walter White and the NAACP"

Lonnie Braxton II will introduce the film, “Forgotten Hero: Walter White and the NAACP”. A 30-minute discussion will follow.

Lonnie retired after a law career spanning decades that ended with 10 years as senior assistant state's attorney for juvenile matters in New London.  His parents moral compasses helped strengthen his own, which he used every day in the justice system.

In 2018 Lonnie was honored as one of the "One Hundred Men of Color", who had BELIEVED - ACHIEVED - INSPIRED those forgotten voices in our cities.

In 2024 SCADD celebrated Lonnie for his unwavering dedication and service by naming a Transition Treatment Program after him.
