Beverly Gage on THIS LAND IS YOUR LAND: A ROAD TRIP THROUGH U.S. HISTORY
Join us for a discussion with Pulitzer Prize–winning historian Beverly Gage on her new book This Land Is Your Land: A Road Trip Through U.S. History on May 26, 2026 at 7 PM.
Venturing out into the vast expanse of American history, This Land Is Your Land reveals how our nation’s most beloved historic sites often present simplified versions of American history. The real history of the United States is far more complicated—and as Gage shows us, can be found in much more unexpected places. Join her as she travels the country to see the museums, historic sites, roadside attractions, reenactments, and souvenir shops where Americans learn—and fight—about our history.
A perfect read for the 250th anniversary of this country’s founding, Gage’s journey shows Americans that they can face their past—in all its beauty and complexity and controversy—and still love their country.
