Benedict Arnold Returns

Witness the Annual Return of the Infamous son of Norwich, Benedict Arnold to the Leffingwell House Museum on Saturday, September 20, 11-3pm.  At 11:30 and 1:30, listen, as reenactor Kevin Titus, portrays both 'coats' of Benedict and hear remarks about both sides of Benedict from visiting Gen. George Washington, Ethan Allen and a representative from Fort Griswold. Introductions of the Patriot Arnold by a descendant of Arnold, with the ‘Spy’ introducing the Traitor. Experience Colonial life and History as recreated by the Wedges of Time, 6th CT Regiment & Kingston Reds.                                            

At 1pm enjoy the annual delivery and presentation to Norwich Mayor of the 'heroic' leg of Benedict by Flock Theatre of New London. Inside the museum, view memorabilia of his youth in Norwich and his sword on loan from the NL County Historic Society.
