Artist Conversation: Deborah Brown’s Noooo

In the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, artist Deborah Brown began her vibrant Shadow Paintings series based on daily walks around her empty, industrial Brooklyn neighborhood, accompanied by her dog. Here, Brown is joined by Jared Quinton, Emily Hall Tremaine Curator of Contemporary Art, for a conversation about her practice and the painting Noooo, recently acquired by the museum.
