6th Annual Taste of New Canaan Stroll
The New Canaan Chamber of Commerce Taste of New Canaan Stroll returns on Thursday, August 21, from 5:00–8:00 PM — inviting residents and visitors to sip, snack, and support a great cause. Organized by Rock Paper Scissors Custom Events, this much-loved summer tradition raises vital funds for the New Canaan Food Pantry, while celebrating the best of downtown’s dining and retail scene. The event features three curated, self-guided walking tours, offering something for everyone:
- The Taste Tour (13 stops) – Sample signature bites from some of New Canaan’s favorite eateries, including Blackbird, Gates, Mama Hu’s Sushi Bake, Sole, and more.
- Family Fiesta (10 stops) – Perfect for families and little legs, this tour blends savory and sweet with stops at Crafty Kids, Cinema Lab Playhouse, Press Burger, and others.
- The Pour Tour (12 stops) – A 21+ experience featuring summery boozy samples at select restaurants and shops such as Elm, Spiga, Adirondack Store & Gallery, and Carpet Trends Inc. Valid ID required.
In 2024, the event raised over $6,000 for the New Canaan Food Pantry with over 250 “strollers” participating. Thanks to sponsor Walter Stewart’s Market, all donations go further because they provide needed pantry staples at cost, amplifying the community’s impact.
Wristband and map pick-up begins from 5:00 PM at Stewart’s Spirits, with final check-in by 7:30 PM. The tours end promptly at 8:00 PM. Tickets are limited and often sell out in advance. Secure yours now: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/taste-of-new-canaan-stroll-tickets-1444090…;
