6th Annual Art In Waterford: Past+Present+Future juried art show

Twenty-eight works of art, including photography and paintings, will be on display and most are for sale.  Many artworks capture scenes of the southeastern Connecticut shoreline and its landmarks on both land and sea.  Visitors may also enter drawings to win paintings by local artists.

This year, the Society is expanding its perspective of art to feature music, recognizing two artists from Waterford’s past: famous composer Edward A. MacDowell, who was married to Marian Nevins, herself an accomplished pianist and whose family owned large tracts of land east of Jordan Village in Waterford, Connecticut.

Mermaid, lighthouse, Cafe Flo, Harkness, seashore, farmhouse, drawbridge, swordfish, country barn, forge. Sounds like southeastern Connecticut doesn't it? Those are some of the subjects in the 20+ works of art at Art In Waterford! Come see / buy / win!

The Waterford Historical Society's 6th annual juried art show will run Friday-Sunday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. featuring local contemporary artists and student artwork from local middle and high schools. Twenty-one works of art, including photography and paintings, will be on display and most are for sale.  Many artworks capture scenes of the southeastern Connecticut shoreline and its landmarks on both land and sea.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of artworks benefits the Waterford Historical Society. Visitors may also enter drawings to win paintings by local artists.
