41st Annual Moby-Dick Marathon
Join the 41st annual Moby-Dick Marathon, a beloved tradition celebrating Melville’s classic American novel aboard the Charles W. Morgan, the last surviving wooden whaleship in the world. Bring your own copy of Moby-Dick, read a chapter or two aloud, and experience the power of Melville’s words by lantern light on the historic ship’s deck.
Guests participating in the overnight portion of the event will also enjoy an evening chantey performance and the rare opportunity to row a whaleboat on the calm waters of the Mystic River at first light.
Admission is free with Museum admission, membership, or a staff/volunteer badge.
As the only overnight experience offered aboard the Charles W. Morgan, this unforgettable event is not to be missed.
