10th Annual Farmington Valley Acoustic Festival
The 10th Annual Farmington Valley Acoustic Festival is returning on Saturday, October 18th
from 11:00am – 6:00pm at Winding Trails in Farmington. Set amongst the beautiful 380 acres
of forest and fall foliage on Dunning Lake, there will be music on two stages, with food trucks,
a vendor village, and a beer garden at the beach featuring free samples from local breweries.
The festival headliner is Della Mae, a GRAMMY-nominated, all-women string band made up of
founder and fiddle player Kimber Ludiker, lead vocalist/guitarist Celia Woodsmith, guitarist
Avril Smith, and bassist Vickie Vaughn. Hailing from across North America, and reared in
diverse musical styles, they are one of the most charismatic and engaging roots bands touring
today. They have traveled to over 30 countries spreading peace and understanding through
music.
The Festival also features Buffalo Rose. Buffalo Rose is a charismatic six-piece modern
folk/Americana band from Pittsburgh, PA. They take the singer-songwriter tradition to a new
level by crafting original songs which are emotive, meticulously arranged, and inspired by a
world of idiosyncratic influences that never let a dull or predictable moment creep in.
Also appearing on the main stage will be Cold Chocolate and The Tenderbellies. Cold Chocolate
is a Boston-based, genre-bending band that fuses folk, funk, and bluegrass to create a unique
sound of their own. The Tenderbellies are a Vermont-based string band that seamlessly blends
Americana, bluegrass, new grass, jazz and rock.
In addition, award-winning songwriters from local and nationally-touring acts will be
performing. Tickets are limited and must be purchased in advance. Early bird discounted
tickets available until July 1st for $30. After July 1, tickets will be $40 adults, and $10 children
