Families can enjoy trunk-or-treating, a costume contest, food trucks, and other family-friendly activities hosted by local businesses, organizations, and community partners. Kids can come dressed in their favorite costumes, collect treats, and enjoy an evening celebrating with the community.
The event will take place at the New London City Pier, giving families a chance to enjoy Halloween festivities along the waterfront.

Trunk-or-Treat — Colchester
On Sunday, October 25, 2026, Colchester will host its annual Trunk-or-Treat at Bacon Academy.
The event gives families an opportunity to enjoy trick-or-treating in a festive setting while local participants decorate their vehicles with creative Halloween themes. The event is free and open to the public, with candy donations helping make the celebration possible.
The afternoon begins with a sensory-friendly portion of the event from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. During this time, families can enjoy quieter decorations without flashing lights and with less frightening themes.
From 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., the event opens to the general public with DJ Montez providing music. Participants can turn on their decorations, use flashing lights, and bring out their spookier Halloween displays.
Families attending are asked to bring two bags of candy per child to help supply the decorated trunks.
Whether your kids love friendly Halloween decorations or are ready for something a little spookier, the Colchester Trunk-or-Treat offers an afternoon and evening of Halloween fun for the whole family.
Trick-or-Treat on Main Street — Willimantic
Head to Main Street in Willimantic for a free community trick-or-treating event featuring treats from local merchants and community groups.
Kids can dress up as their favorite characters, spooky creatures, superheroes, or anything else they can dream up and visit participating businesses throughout Main Street.
