No matter the season, you'll find farm fresh goods popping up all over Connecticut! What better way to enjoy it than to pick your own? Take a trip to the farm, find your favorite fruits and flowers and bring them home for farm fresh baking and a stunning centerpiece. And don't forget about pumpkins and Christmas Trees! To make it easier, we’ve gathered a short list of spots that are open to safely pick your own.

Strawberries
If you’re very into berries, summertime is ideal for picking small fruit which includes strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries. Starting in June with strawberry season, you’ll find pick your own fun at Lyman Orchards and Jones Family Farms which also has a winery and outdoor seating.
Flowers
In summer, Connecticut bursts into color with beautiful blossoms! This season, appreciate them up close and pick your own bouquet! Find perfect purple lavendar plants at Lavender Pond Farm, Bucciarelli Farm, and Tonn's Orchard where you can also find a charming marketplace and a CSA program! And Lapsley Orchard, a 200-acre farm in Pomfret Center. In spring and early summer, pick stunning colors at Wicked Tulip Farm in Preston.
Blueberries
As the summer heats up and blueberry season starts in July and August, you’ll find this plump little fruit can be found at Buell’s Orchards, Belltown Hill Orchards, Gilson Farm and Scott’s Yankee Farmer.
Raspberries
Raspberries are best picked in June and July and then again in September and October. Find these tart treats at Holmberg Orchards, Lyman Orchards, and Easy Pickin’s Orchard.
Peaches
There’s nothing like a sweet, juicy peach to delight your taste buds! If you’re looking to pick your own, these fuzzy fruits are best in July, August, and September and can be found at Drazen Orchards starting in July, as well as Starberry Farm. Or swing by The Pickin' Patch's market to pick up some hand-picked peaches that are fresh and delicious!
Apples
Always a fan favorite, apples can be turned into applesauce, apple pie, apple crisp – you name it. Luckily, Connecticut has lots of places to pick your own during apple season which starts late July and stretches throughout the fall. A few spots to consider are Johnny Appleseed’s Farm, Bishop’s Orchards Farm Market, and Lyman Orchards. Or if you're looking to pick up some freshly picked apples, swing by Roger's Orchard's Shuttle Meadow Farm Store.
Pumpkins
When fall arrives who doesn't love picking pumpkins? And it's even more fun when you find the perfect one for a jack-o-lantern! In Connecticut, you can pick your own pumpkins at Blue Jay Orchards, Brown's Harvest, Karabin Farms, and Warrup's Farm where you can also find gourds, winter squash, and hayrides on October weekends!
Christmas Trees
Gathering the family to pick out this year's perfect tree is always a very merry time, especially in quaint and picturesque Connecticut! You can pick your own trees at Oak Ridge Tree Farm, Dzen Tree Farm, and Miller Tree Farm. At Fairview Tree Farm in Shelton you can search for your tree and have it wrapped, loaded and tied onto your car! Angevine Farm in Warren features a Christmas Barn with activities, tree trimmings snacks and even visits from Santa. And Maple Lane Farms offers 50 acres of cut-your-own trees, plus decorated wreaths, undecorated wreaths, garlands and complimentary hot chocolate and cookies on weekends!
