Vernon is a wonderful community to live, work and visit. It is home to dozens of miles of walkable trails, including the Hop River Rail Trail, and winter activities such as ice fishing and cross country skiing. Henry Park features summer concerts, farmers markets, youth and adult sports and community festivals, and in the winter, there is a free holiday light display. Vernon was once a center of agriculture and textile manufacturing. Today, several of the mills have been transformed into apartments.
