Art & Garden Tour (June 13 & 14), Coventry

Come into the studio to enjoy my artwork: birch paintings on textured papers, gourd sculptures, mixed-media forest delights series. I refer to all my work as Emotional Realism. Nature in my inspiration. I invite you to explore the world through my eyes.

Arts Center East, Vernon

Arts Center East is a regional Arts destination in Connecticut located at 709 Hartford Turnpike, Vernon. All are welcome with FREE ADMISSION from 1p - 5p to enjoy the Form and Function Exhibit of 3D art in the Marmer Gallery.

Barnyard Babies Farm Day at the Nellie McKnight Museum, Ellington

Join us for Barnyard Babies Farm Day at the Nellie McKnight Museum, 70 Main St., Ellington from 9 am to 1 pm. Meet a variety of adorable farm animals up close, explore our engaging farm exhibit, and tour the historic 1812 house museum. Fun for all ages and a perfect way to celebrate Ellington’s agricultural heritage!

The Museum of Connecticut Glass will offer free tours of our displays of antique bottles and glassware, and the 1812 Captain John Turner House, on Saturday June 14 from 1:00-4:00 PM. Located at 290 North River Rd, Coventry, Ct

New England Civil War Museum, Vernon

Connecticut's Civil War Museum, telling the stories of average people who lived during the nation's most tumultuous time period. Follow the experiences of Seth Plumb, Joseph Porter, Lizzie Chester, and George Abbe from 1861 to 1865, through their own words and the unique artifacts in the museum's collection. Open Saturdays and Sundays from 10 AM to 3 PM.

Strong Family Farm, Vernon

Strong Family Farm is celebration CT Open House Day of Sunday, June 15th with our first "Sunday Fun Day on the Farm" for the season and the grand season opening of the farm stand that sells only CT Grown and produced items.  Come join the fun at Vernon's community family farm from 10-2 at 274 West St., Vernon, CT - right off I84.

Valley Falls Farm and Heritage Center, Vernon

The Valley Falls Farm and Heritage Center is a circa 1900s Gentleman's Farm that offers a rare look at well-preserved farm buildings considered state-of-the-art when built around 1910. Each building, including the stable built in the European style, ice house, piggery, root cellar, manure shed and two-story barn are filled with items found on the farm, and interpretive panels that tell the story of the families who lived there. Self-guided tours, or docent-led tour from 1-2 pm. Great fun for all ages; kids love ringing the bells collected by one family and sliding through the little doorways once used by the baby pigs. Located on eight scenic acres with gardens, picnic tables and a short walk to Valley Falls Park.
