Molten Java is a local small batch coffee roaster and cafe. Our art venue showcases regional artists on a monthly rotation. Free tours of our four Historic Buildings on our 43 Main Street Campus (the 1785 John & Mary Rider House, the 1780 John Dodd Hat Shop, the Little Red Schoolhouse, and the Marian Anderson Studio) on Saturday, June 13. WCSU 2026 High School Student Art Showcase, Danbury
Presented by Western Connecticut State University in partnership with the Danbury Cultural Commission and Jerry's of Norwalk, this biennial exhibition features outstanding artwork by students in grades 9–12. Selected artists will be showcased in a professional gallery setting, with top artists receiving special recognition and awards during the opening reception.
Eighty-one works from 55 high school students were selected for inclusion in the competition and exhibition, which will be on view from Sunday, May 31, through Sunday, June 14, 2026. Join us on Saturday, June 13 from 1 to 4 pm for a community wide tour of Middlesex Parish (Darien & Rowayton) Revolutionary history. Head to 12 local historic sites for a "road trip" through history! Visitors will view the new exhibit commemorating the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. "Revolutionary Roots: Generations of Change" opens on June 11, and runs through October 3, 2026, The exhibit is curated by Consultant Stacey Danielson.
"Revolutionary Roots" examines the American Revolution through the 18th-century history of the Lockwood and Mathews families, as new research reveals 'Untold Stories' of their ancestors deeply embedded in the war effort.
Rowayton Arts Center, Norwalk
Visit the Rowayton Arts Center (RAC) to see the Annual Sponsored Awards show in the gallery. This all-media exhibition features artwork by RAC Exhibiting Members, with cash awards donated by local merchants and individuals. Admission is free and refreshments will be served.

This comprehensive exhibit, "Roger Sherman, A Key Figure in America's Revolutionary Story," features 20 learning stations on the first floor of our museum. The Historic William Perry House, Stratford
The Historic William Perry House is one of the oldest homes in Stratford, CT. It was built circa 1693 by ship builder, Benjamin Beach as a 4 room homestead. It has gone through a few changes over the years but still boasts original flooring, wood beams and a beautiful nine foot fireplace.
