The exhibition is free as is a tour of my studio, all activities are free and open to the general public, families with children are always welcome.

Molten Java is a local small batch coffee roaster and cafe.  Our art venue showcases regional artists on a monthly rotation.  The drinks, food and gifts are cherished by anyone who visits for their eccentricity and variety.  The Thursday Open Mic, hosted by Bethel Pride, draws visitors from all over the area.  Molten is a home away from home for anyone stopping in.

The 256 Main Street showcase of the Charles Federer, room size mural in the Music Centre, an 1877 historic building, is open from 12 noon until 4 P.M. 

Danbury’s arts community will share their unique offerings plus Music and Poetry. Plus a street fair on Main Street.
 

Free tours of our four Historic Buildings on our 43 Main Street Campus (the 1785 John & Mary Rider House, the 1780 John Dodd Hat Shop, the Little Red Schoolhouse, and the Marian Anderson Studio) on Saturday, June 13. There is also a free tour of the Charles Ives Birthplace that is offered at 10:30 am, but that must be booked in advance!

Join us on CT Open House Day and take a self guided tour of Tarrywile Park - 722 acres of open space, 21 miles of trails, three ponds to explore! Dog friendly on a leash.

Presented by Western Connecticut State University in partnership with the Danbury Cultural Commission and Jerry's of Norwalk, this biennial exhibition features outstanding artwork by students in grades 9–12. Selected artists will be showcased in a professional gallery setting, with top artists receiving special recognition and awards during the opening reception.

Eighty-one works from 55 high school students were selected for inclusion in the competition and exhibition, which will be on view from Sunday, May 31, through Sunday, June 14, 2026. Join us on Saturday, June 13 from 1  to 4 pm for a community wide tour of Middlesex Parish (Darien & Rowayton) Revolutionary history. Head to 12 local historic sites for a "road trip" through history!  All spots on the Middlesex Parish 250 driving tour will be  "open" with greeters and historic information.

Museum entry is free! Borrow some binoculars and search the sanctuary for wildlife, then make an animal track cast to take home!

Enjoy free admission to the c. 1750 Ogden House; a living history demonstration; and garden tours with the Fairfield Garden Club at 1:30 pm & 2:00 pm.

Enjoy free admission to special exhibitions; the historic Sun Tavern, rebuilt in 1780 after the 1779 Burning of Fairfield; and Drop-in Drawing with a local artist.

Celebrate CT Open House Day at the Center for Contemporary Printmaking on Saturday, June 13! Enjoy a scavenger hunt through the 10th Biennial FOOTPRINT Exhibition in our gallery, tour the studios, and join a hands-on screenprinting session from 1-3 PM where visitors can bring their own t-shirts, tote bags, or bandanas to print on with guidance from our staff.

Visitors will view the new exhibit commemorating the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. "Revolutionary Roots: Generations of Change" opens on June 11, and runs through October 3, 2026, The exhibit is curated by Consultant Stacey Danielson.

"Revolutionary Roots" examines the American Revolution through the 18th-century history of the Lockwood and Mathews families, as new research reveals 'Untold Stories' of their ancestors deeply embedded in the war effort. 

Visit the Rowayton Arts Center (RAC) to see the Annual Sponsored Awards show in the gallery. This all-media exhibition features artwork by RAC Exhibiting Members, with cash awards donated by local merchants and individuals. Admission is free and refreshments will be served.

RAC celebrates the study, creation and appreciation of the arts through classes, exhibitions and events open to all in the community. For over 60 years, this nonprofit organization has been a cultural gem in Rowayton, CT. The gallery and art school overlook the scenic Five Mile River at 145 Rowayton Avenue with space for regional artists to exhibit their art and a studio for workshops and classes at all levels offered to children and adults. This comprehensive exhibit, "Roger Sherman, A Key Figure in America's Revolutionary Story," features 20 learning stations on the first floor of our museum. A brief opening presentation on the half hour and self-guided tour with booklet. It follows Sherman's life from humble farmer to statesman to founding father of our nation and democracy. It's a step into the past that is extremely relevant to the present. There will also be presentations by the New Milford D.A.R. in our Roger Sherman Shoemaker Shop. From noon-4pm. Free and the exhibit is handicapped accessible. The Shoemaker Shop is in our field.

On Connecticut Open House Day we are open for free tours of the Captain David Judson House! Join us for guided tours beginning between 11:00 am and 1:30 pm. Admission is free. Suggested $10 donation. Registration not required.

The Historic William Perry House is one of the oldest homes in Stratford, CT. It was built circa 1693 by ship builder, Benjamin Beach as a 4 room homestead. It has gone through a few changes over the years but still boasts original flooring, wood beams and a beautiful nine foot fireplace.

Stop by to visit this unique colonial gem and learn about it's history and the residences of Stratford.

The homestead will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Admission if free. Light refreshments.

Visit the Wilton Historical Society Complex which consists of the Betts-Sturgis-Blackmar House (red) built on-site c.1740; the c.1840 Burt Barn Gallery (yellow); the Sloan-Raymond-Fitch House (gray) built c.1770; the c. 1860 Abbott Barn, c. 1890 Blacksmith Shop, plus a c.1895 two-seat privy.
