The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk's RV Spirit of the Sound™ is a 64-foot all-aluminum catamaran that launched in 2015 as the first research vessel in North America with hybrid-electric propulsion. She cruises all year round, offering a cleaner and greener venue to explore Long Island Sound!

The following public cruises are available aboard R/V Spirit of the Sound.  See the Aquarium’s website for specific dates, times and prices, and to make reservations, which are strongly recommended. Passengers must be at least 42" tall.
