Introduction to Hand-Hewing Workshop with Nevan Carling

Have you ever wondered how hand hewn beams are created? Join us for this day-long hands-on class taught by preservation carpenter, Nevan Carling. 

Students will learn the basics of timber selection and timber layout all while using traditional tools and methods to create a hand-hewn finished product. Students will be provided with leg protection, eye protection, and appropriate axes/tools for use during the class. Students will be required to wear steel toed shoes or boots and wear long pants that fully cover their legs.

*Participants must be 18 years old or older.
