20th Naugatuck Chamber Duck Race & Festival

The Naugatuck Chamber’s Duck Race & Festival returns to historic downtown Naugatuck on Sunday, June 1, 2025, rain or shine — and it’s set to be bigger and better than ever!

This exciting community tradition features the dramatic release of 15,000 rubber ducks from the Whittemore Bridge into the Naugatuck River. The first 20 ducks to cross the finish line win amazing prizes donated by local businesses — including a grand prize of $5,000 for first place and 20th place!

Beyond the race, the festival transforms downtown with food and craft vendors, live music, games, family-friendly entertainment, and business exhibits. It draws more than 5,000 attendees annually for a fun-filled day that celebrates the spirit of the community.
